Our first over night boating adventure was with the Pootatuck Yacht Club and their annual Sail Away. (Don't know why its a sail away, no sailboats go...) July 23rd 8:00 we began our voyage to the Essex Island Marina up the Connecticut River. The boat started running fine, but after a few miles one of the motor didn't seem to be running quite right, so it was a longer trip than expected because we weren't going as fast because we didn't want to overburden one of the motors. But we eventually made it there in daylight! That day there was a poker run for the "cigarette boats" coming out of the Connecticut river, so we got to see all kinds of fast, brightly painted boats. It was a very hot, and humid trip, but luckily we have air conditioning on the boat, but we had a slight mishap with that on the way home as well. Here are a few pictures of our adventure.

Both of the kids absolutely loved the pool
Now we can go on the bridge and enjoy the view!
