1st Birthday Party

We spent so much time preparing for Lillian party, and so much time picking up since her party, that I just haven't had much time to blog. So here is a recap of the party. It turned out to be a nice day outside, we had the party mainly in the garage but did have overflow seating outside and all of the cooking was done outside.

Proud grandpa and papa!

We wanted the first birthday to be great, so we got 50 lobster, a bushel of clams (400), a half keg of beer, BBQ pork loin, all the side dishes, and of course 2 cakes.

Lillian didn't actually have any lobster, just her picture taken with it.

The cooking area!

Smash cake that Nana DeMezzo made.

Grandma Tracie and Nana Joyce trying to get Lillian to blow out the candle.

Some mad scienctist (Dave's Uncle Gary) came with some experiments (Mentos & Diet Coke)for entertainment. Just look at the crowd in amazement :)

He also made the beautiful balloon arrangements.
We had an awesome day and Lillian was great, she took a early afternoon nap, was up when the guests started arriving 3pm. And was up until 8pm. Dave's godfather and his wife made the trip from South Carolina, and my grandparents and Aunt Veronica came from Vermont (which was the first time to our house). We were so excited that they made the trip.

It was so much work, but worth every minute! We hope everyone enjoyed themselves.

It was a great time. The pictures don't do it justice, there was so much going on, good company, good food. I'm thankful that there was a place for me to sleep :)

Lilly's party was great. I am so glad Grandpa and Grandma were able to be there via Aunt Veronica and we were able to have the time off to be there with everyone. Thank you Sarah and Dave for such a beautiful Granddaughter.
